< Myofascial Pain Syndrome

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is commonly used to provide short-term pain relief for back pain and pain associated with other conditions, such as diabetic neuropathy.

A non-invasive therapy, TENS is not painful and is administered easily in our offices. Using a small, battery-operated device that emits a low-voltage electrical current with electrodes placed on the skin near the area of pain, TENS “scrambles” normal pain signals between the brain and affected nerves, effectively masking the perception of pain.
