< Cancer Pain

Pain in and around the pelvic, genital, anal and rectal areas that has not responded to oral medication may be alleviated with a nerve block injected into the sympathetic nerve fibers of the superior hypogastric plexus.

This type of nerve block treatment has been effective for male and female patients in reducing dependency on pain medications, and in relieving pain associated with malignancies, endometriosis, chronic inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, interstitial cystitis, cancer, radiation injury, adhesions, post-surgical pain and gynecologic disorders where pain may or may not be related to the menstrual cycle.
