Maryn Sloane, MD

Maryn Sloane, MD, is the Director of A Second Chance Center, Long Island’s first outpatient Pain Management Mental Health Center located at Syosset Hospital. Dr. Sloane completed her premedical training at Columbia University in New York, NY followed by receiving her Doctor of Medicine at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Upon graduating, Dr. Sloane trained at the North Shore-LIJ Health System for an internship in internal medicine. She went on to complete her postgraduate training fulfilling her residency in general adult psychiatry at Boston University in Boston, MA and her fellowship in addictions at NYU/Bellevue in New York, NY.

Dr. Sloane is a board certified psychiatrist and board-eligible for addiction psychiatry. She has expertise in the fields of co-management of chemical dependence in chronic pain patients. Dr. Sloane is a published author on the subject of nonpharmacological-based treatments of pain and substance use disorders.
